The Danish Association of the DeafBlind is a nationwide association and professional organisation in Denmark, who works for better conditions for Danish people living with deaf-blindness. The association safeguards the interests of deaf-blind people by generating attention to the extent of the double handicap to politicians as well as to the public, and at the same time finding new members who can find the association’s assistance beneficial. The association helps deaf-blind people to initiatives which can be of physically aid for them on the basis of the progression of the individual’s sight and hearing loss. There are also initiatives of more social character through deaf-blind groups that focus on understanding and safety or human support through a contact person.
On this homepage you can find information about deaf-blindness, the association’s activities for deaf-blind people in all ages and the political program of the association.
